After about 3-4 years of having a bad lower back and being in pain almost every day from it, for me to be doing 120kg deadlift for 4 reps (after this video) where I feel safe and secure enough that it won’t hurt/damage my back anymore is fantastic🙌💪 I cant thank Dean Robertson @elysiumedinburgh for helping me get there , correcting my form and movements has seriously strengthened my core and has made my back 100x better👌🙌 120kg isn’t massive but it’s a massive improvement that I wouldn’t have been able to do without his help. Deadlifts were most definitely #deathlifts this morning. Why I thought it would be a good idea to try and lift heavy while my back is already trash from starting shark week and doing 3 gymnastics sessions in 48 hours over the weekend, I’ll never know. People freak out over the term “fasting”🙄Religions have done it for years. We all fast while we 💤 Fasting is FAR different than STARVING . I’ve done #intermittentfasting purposefully for the past 3.5 years. But I always fasted longer than just when I slept. My entire life I have trained early in the am and did it in a faster state👌🏻 . You can believe something totally different but for me I AM more energized and feel stronger no matter if it’s intense #cardio or heavy #lifting I don’t feel sluggish or weighed down the way I do with food in my system🤢. A cup of black ☕️ or my non jittery pre workout is all I take . I also finish training Usually by 8am but I don’t refuel until several hours later. I actually get some of my best work 💻done in that time. Anytime between 11 and 1 I break my fast it just depends on the day or how I am feeling.😋 . Hubby wanted food after the gym today, at 7:30 & I turned him down😘Sometimes I’ll grab coffee with

Romanian Deadlifts are an excellent hip extension exercise to strengthen the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back. The problem, however, is that the range of motion can often be cut short due to the plates touching the ground before the athlete reaches their max hip flexion. # This is where the Deficit RDL can help. By standing on a 3-6” elevated platform, you can fold in half at the hips to whatever degree you are able. Women who crush weights everyday with @nickihubbs. Making progress isn’t always even across the board. Despite having some recent hip/squat issues she hit a PR 285 deadlift this week. Happy wedneaday people!! I like doubles I must say!! Did some squats and deadlifts today. Haven't done any squatting for a few weeks because of some knee issues. 295lbs felt good but my second rep I almost lost it and tipped forward a bit. On my deadlift (365lbs) I found that rolling the bar out and then back in really helps me keep form and pull more efficiently.
