What a wonderful, busy day yesterday...didn't get time to post. Started with #burnhamandhighbridgeparkrun Jo completed her first and smashed it in 36:40, so proud. Andy smashed a minute of his PB and everyone did it in pouring rain & bitter wind. #winners

Next was on to @pigstyuk At Bristol to meet the lovely @melly_smps and @chubs2ridgewaylife For a long overdue catch up. The degree of pork involved was a definite bonus 😉

Back home to meet the rest of the committee to blow up balloons and generally prep for the #nailsearunningclub Christmas party.

The evening was wonderful. Lots of dancing, eating and drinking. Hog roast = more pig...could be a tough week on the scales 😉 Living life means balance though 🎉

1️⃣. Discipline and Consistency are the only way that you can accomplish any goal that you set, especially fitness and nutrition.
2️⃣. I’m finishing off my final weeks of a five week program design and I definitely notice a significant difference from when I started. I packed on some lean muscle mass on that timeframe and next week I start the actual muscle and mass building phase of my training.
3️⃣. I started this program at 245 lbs and 24% body fat and this afternoon I weighed in at 257 lbs and 21% body fat.  Do I have aspirations of getting into the teens for body fat percentage? Nope, but I am out to prove to myself and others that a man over 40 years of age can still build muscle and not hold a higher body fat content like everyone assumes.

Man what a day. Camp was so fun this morning.  I had a 2 hour Heart rate training run scheduled but felt so good I decided to end with 3 miles of intervals.  All and all ran a half marathon and had my most affective HR run. 2 hr at a 140-145 rate. 😡All that time wasted waiting could have been used to be a bit more productive. Don’t be a one trick pony and only bench press for your chest work.  There are bands, cables, bodyweight, suspension trainers and machines that can help you better develop that chest.
👍🏾There are also other body parts like LEGS that could benefit from that much attention and dedication.
I bet there is never a line that long for the squat rack or power rack to perform squats. 😂🤣 There are between 640 and 850 muscles in the human body.  All of them need work.  Don’t put all of your attention on the “show me” muscles. That’s how muscular imbalances are made.
