I went up the western side of Glenfinnan viaduct to scout out a good spot where I would get a different view of the Jacobite Steam Train. I had heard that it comes from this side first and then 15 minutes after another train would pass, but from the other direction. I got this test shot of the first train and that was it. There was no other steam train. Only a boring

I had heard that it comes from this side first and then 15 minutes after another train would pass, but from the other direction. I got this test shot of the first train and that was it. There was no other steam train. Only a boring "normal" train about half an hour later. Kind of an anticlimax, I have to say, even though it was a pretty awesome place. 📷 Canonet G-III QL17 🎞️ Kodak Ektar 100 +1

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// CELLS 122
Through the paned windows of modern offices I explore the ecosystem of the services industry and its players. Tightly linked to contemporary architecture they seem to be at home in each of the boxes designed by the tower.

A neutral and objective approach allows me to observe the stacks of floors saturated with employees. The images show the office furniture and equipment, the interior design, the dress codes, but especially the attitude and posture of the people who occupy these buildings dedicated to work.

Observed from the outside, these open spaces are totally accessible and reveal a standardized universe, a singular vision of reality. « Cells », icons of a type of population and it’s epoch.

[@hanneke_van_leeuwen]... Afraid of failing, responsible for what we carry.

During my work process bodies become shapes, shapes become beings; the images reflect the great void and uncertainty of life. I work in a very intuitive manner. The collages, paint, structures, open doors to new world. They enable me to examine personal fantasies which otherwise would be hidden beneath everyday ‘reality’. I reveal something of the inner turmoil we all experience in our psyche sometimes; the inside world and the outside world collide. In that sense it’s is a form of transfiguration and realisation, that drives me on a journey.
My love for woman, strong and fragile, is through all the year one of my main subject. Afraid of failing, responsible for what we carry, there is great beauty in this complexity and often longing for simple forms. The body from inside out, turned in on itself, we need to balance ourselves. Alone but not lonely, shaped by nature and life.
