Also.... Ist alles Photoshop? Alles geblitzt? Nein! 😌 #portraits mf #portraitvision #portraitfestival #portraitsmadeingermany #portraitsofficial #portvisual #botanischergarten #hhu #universität #university #student #studieren #physicians #physician #physics #physiker #düsseldorfcity #düsseldorf #canondeutschland #deutschland #fotograf #model #beauty #beautyphotographer #mondaymotivation #tfpshooting #tfp

I’ll never get over the incredibly magical experience of flying. The mechanics, engineering, and physics involved are just mind boggling... . . . #mechanicalengineering #physics #flight #airtravel #boeing

Next step, creating cyanotypes with transparencies of the Schleiren images. Cyanotypes are one of our oldest forms of photographic imaging, printing by the exposure of a chemical solution that turns blue in the sunlight. The chemical solution changes not due to the amount of visible light but due to that of ultraviolet. . . A step in a project inspired by a visit to @mtstromloobservatory, where technology extends our observation beyond the capability of the human eye. . . . . . #scienceandart #optics #cbrarts #stromlo #schleiren #schleirenphotography #cyanotype #cyanotypes #cyan #blue #physics #physicsart #science #photography #shadowgraph #heat #flame #fire #match #process #art #artist #worksonpaper

Messier 78 Follow @ starstuff for more daily space content! 🌌 Describe M78 in 3 words 😍👇 · M78 is located approximately 1,600 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Orion. M78 has the distinction of appearing very comet like, with one side of the nebula flaring away like a comet’s tail. This has fooled many comet hunters into believing they have made a new discovery. · Source: NASA Image credits: ESO/APEX (MPIfR/ESO/OSO)/T. Stanke et al./Igor Chekalin/Digitized Sky Survey 2

On average, a supernova will occur about once every 50 years in a galaxy the size of the Milky Way. Put another way, a star explodes every second or so somewhere in the universe, and some of those aren't too far from Earth. Exactly how a star dies depends in part on its mass. Our sun, for example, doesn't have enough mass to explode as a supernova. With the right amount of mass, a star can burn out in a fiery explosion. A star can go supernova in one of two ways: Type I supernova: star accumulates matter from a nearby neighbor until a runaway nuclear reaction ignites. Type II supernova: star runs out of nuclear fuel and collapses under its own gravity. ~ Type I supernovae lack a hydrogen signature in their light spectra. Type Ia supernovae are generally thought to originate from white dwarf stars in a close binary system. As the gas of the companion star accumulates onto the white dwarf, the white dwarf is progressively compressed, and eventually sets off a runaway nuclear
