A client giving her first go on this exercise. • Want to try it? 1️⃣Set up a band or cable system just under shoulder height. 2️⃣ Set up split stance perpendicular to cable, arms reach towards anchor point, leg closest to anchor point starts in front 3️⃣ Pull your hands towards your chest while simultaneously leaping & switching both of your feet. Then land with hands in front of your chest, legs switched (leg that started in front, should now be in back on the toes) 4️⃣Again you will simultaneously leap up with the arm movement, but this time you are pushing your hands away from the anchor point. Scoop Tosses are a tremendous way to teach people to safely transfer force from the ground into an implement such as a hockey stick, golf club, baseball bat, etc. Key points: 🔹Start with Hips back, chest over toes 🔹Load back hip 🔹Explode 🔹Finish nice and tall with belly button pointing at the wall 🔹”Break the wall” or for my politically inclined clients “break Trumps face” tends to get good results. 🔹Once you have the basic scoop Toss, there are plenty of ways to progress this and have some serious fun with your rotational training.

Ahhh the #transverseplane ! Quite the common topic on the table. Another? The workhorse we neglect.. our THORASIC SPINE. My client base does not just consist of athletes, this topic, with many branches, is for everyone! If you sit, if you slump, if you shallow breathe (if you’re not sure pay attention), if your motions are repetitive, if you’re not moving much at all, if you don’t actively work and stretch rotationally, this is for you! Your thorasic spine is responsible for 2/3 of torso movement. Our rib cages are set without too much movement to protect our delicate innards, but incorporating rotational stretches and exercises we increase the ease of deep breathing. Correct BREATH is directly related and essential for physical and mental relaxation through our nervous system! MOVE your thorasic spine, your diaphragm and LOWER BACK will thank you! Many times low back pain is misdiagnosed! Try stretching and training through your transverse ✈️💕 #thorasicparktuesday

Dieser Muskel ist wichtig zu trainieren um die Muskulatur rund um die Schulter in Balance zu halten. 💪🏼 Worauf kommt es an: - gerade stehen - den Arm im rechten Winkel, Oberarm eng am Körper - nur soweit nach außen rotieren, wie es die Schulter selbst ausführen kann. (Oft wird über die Wirbelsäule weiter gegangen.) - langsam ausführen - nicht mit dem Oberarm vom Körper weg gehen. Ggf. Ein Handtuch als Kontrolle zwischen die Achseln klemmen.
