Day 1 of the Single Leg Experiment

Here are the three programmed movements from day 1.  Throughout the entire program, I attempted to choose a healthy mix of knee and hip dominant movements.  My rep ranges undulate week to week, but the exercise selection won't change (for at least the first 4 weeks). I'm also performing upper body movements, but I'll only start to include those if people seem interested.

1️⃣Deficit Bulgarian Split Squat: Not-so-coincidentally, one of my least favorite movements is also one of my weakest.  I wrote this in as the first exercise on Day 1 so I could hit it with a renewed effort.  After performing my ramp-up sets, I performed 2 sets of 8 on each side.
2️⃣Lever Single Leg Deadlift: I've always struggled with stability on free weight single leg RDL's, so I decided to give the lever a try.  I was pleasantly surprised, though I'll work to use less knee moving forward.  I performed 2 working sets of 8.
3️⃣Sliding Lateral Lunge: I've only ever performed these with a slideboard in the past, and was happy with how the @sorinex roller felt.  I left a more in-depth explanation on my other page @electrum_performance if you're interested.  I performed 2 sets of 5, and then 2 more sets of 8.

I purposely started with low volume for the first 4 weeks.  If my body continues to tolerate it as well as it has been, I expect I can ramp it up significantly for the second half of this program.  Day 2 will be posted soon!

Happy Saturday everyone 😎. after yesterday cheal meals(had kfc after the coffee break 😋)today, I took it slow as I just did 15mins walk on the treadmill because I believe you don’t have to push yourself everyday as recovery is as important as going intense when working out. Yes, I did gained some weight back from yesterdays cheat meal or meals 😏 but its all good as life without friends is boring and friends without good food is unheard of especially if you're with your girlfriend 😉. Don't do this at home kids.
