Kimura grip armbar from closed guard.

To answer the question some of you may ask, the reason I extend my hands before I get my leg over his head, is because I need to create space for my leg to pass. If he is too close, it'll be hard for me to pass the leg, especially if I am not flexible. The kimura grip pins his elbow and prevents him from closing the space I create with my hip escape.
A very strong variation of the armbar from closed guard.

Normally, we won't choose to go the arm triangle from the back control. The back control, arguably, is the best position, so why move the a less dominant position to try to land a submission? You have plenty of submissions to try without compromising your position.

Blocked Scissor sweep to triangle.
Detailed analysis below.
. Old school combination. 
For the scissor position, it is preferable to get a deep lapel grip. It makes the pull on the neck and shoulders stronger and helps to break the posture more effectively. This deep grip also opens some other attacks (like the cross choke).
For the other hand, I choose to grip a little above the elbow. It makes for a stronger pull (while compromising his wrist being free). I want a stronger pull if I want to sweep him (or triangle him).
As I get to the scissor position, he grabs my pants / belt / gi and puts his weight back. I want to pull him to me, so he pushes off of me.
I take my left leg and place it on his hip.
I have a good control on one of his hands. That means thats I need to isolate the other, for the triangle. I want to break his grip and get his hand between my legs (as a rule of thumb, for the triangle you need 1 hand between your leg). Since 3 of my limbs are occupied, I use my free leg to break the grip. I push my shin into his bicep, meanwhile extending my left foot on his hip. It extends him, takes him out of balance and makes it difficult for him to base and start defending. Once I pushed his hand back I want to kick my leg over his neck. To get the best angle, I need to push myself with my left foot, while extending him and move from my left shoulder, flat on my back, almost 90 degrees to him (just like the angle needed to complete an armbar from the guard). The left leg extends, the right leg pushes his neck (to break posture and help me create the angle) and both of my arms are pulling towards me. Every limb is working together to get a tight triangle without having to re-adjust. Remember, the scissor position is on your shoulder, completely on your side, while the triangle is flat on your back. You need to get there for the triangle.

When you are being smashed in the side control, it is very hard to escape. There are several ways, but you need to start by relieving the shoulder pressure from your jaw.
I make 2 bridges for 2 different purposes and into 2 different locations in his head.
The first bridge is to be able to place my arm between me and my partner. I need to create space for my elbow. The problem is that he is pushing his shoulder into my jaw, and making it very hard for me to hip out to my left and to move. So I need to work with what I got.
The first bridge, I push my bicep into his JAW. It is hard to defend and it allows me to create the small gap I need for my elbow.
Now with the elbow/arm I can create some distance between us and relief some of the pressure from my jaw, just to enable a small hip escape.
The purpose of the second bridge is to relief enough pressure from my upper body and face for me to be able to come up to my knees.
The second bridge is into his UPPER PART OF THE HEAD.
If I push into his neck, his strong neck and shoulder muscles might be able to handle it. but, If I push his head further from his base, the leverage is enormous and only some small neck muscles can resist.
The directional force is to the side. I am basically trying to push his left ear into his left shoulder (regarding the direction of the push).
Once I have relieved myself of the pressure I pull my arm's (the one that was pushing his hip) elbow to the mat and come up to my knees.
From there, I get the whizzer and see what I can do. 
In this particular sequence, I pushed him to make him base on his free hand. I then posted my leg on his back and took advantage of the space that is between his arms to pull out my leg from between them and go for the triangle.
