Neuroplasticity refers to the incredible ability of the nervous system to remodel itself and change over time based on what stimuli it is exposed to.
⬇️
Learning is a PHYSICAL phenomenon, meaning that there are new neurological connections constructed over time based on what we are leaning or doing repetitively. These physical connections get more robust with repeated exposure to the stimuli, literally taking up more neurological real estate in the brain and nervous system over time.
⬇️
A homonculus is a graphic example of the motor and sensory cortex, and the approximate real estate taken up by each body part or region.
⬇️
Real estate can be greatly altered over time depending on use vs. Disuse. A prime example is the motor cortex of piano players, who build an incredible amount of finger dexterity - and this shows up neurologically when looked at by fMRI for example.

THE FEET: The same principle can be applied. We often take our feet for granted, wear restrictive shoes, are exposed to flat and untextured surfaces, aren’t mindful of them when moving etc. We start to lose neurological real estate, which can even be seen in basic foot/toe dexterity exercises.
⬇️
This can be reclaimed. By allowing your feet to do more, avoiding restrictive/supportive footwear, spending more time-barefoot, training barefoot, beingmore mindful of foot use, exposing them to novel stimuli and varying surfaces.
✅ You have the power to build more neurological real estate and reclaim better foot function and health.

New client has constant jaw pain. She pointed to her masseters on both sides. she'd been in several car accidents experiencing whiplash each time. She said it didn't bother her at night, she was not clenching. It hurt during the day when she was writing at the computer. A classic NKT relationship is jaw to neck. NKT testing revealed  over active masseters and under active SCMs. The SCMs attach to the mastoid process, so they can be involved in jaw problems. Released the masseters and activated the SCMs. That definitely relaxed her jaw. Homework was jaw massage and neck activation.

Intra-articular causes of snapping hip might be caused by pathologies such as acetabular labral tears, cartilage defects, and fracture fragments. Even though snapping or popping may occur, patients with intra-articular pathologies are more likely to describe catching, locking, or sharp stabbing sensations [1]

Extra-articular snapping hip is generally divided into two forms: external and internal

The external form occurs lateral to the hip joint, and is usually caused by the iliotibial band moving over the greater trochanter. The internal form of extra-articular snapping happens anteriorly to the hip joint, and is caused by abrupt movement of the iliopsoas tendon, which snaps over underlying bony prominences like the anterior aspect of the femoral head or the iliopectinal eminence. Snapping of the iliopsoas tendon usually requires contraction of the hip flexors, and may be difficult to differentiate from intra-articular causes of snapping [1]

Clinicians should recognize that the majority of cases of snapping hip resolves with conservative treatment (non-surgery), while being mindful of the potential for accompanying intra-articular snapping hips [1]

1. Visp sammen alle ingrediensene i en bolle og dypp brødskivene nedi.
2. Stek brødskivene i en stekepanne i litt smør på middels varme, begge sider til de blir lett gylne.
3. Tips: Jeg dobbeldyppet dem, anbefales! Dypp de i eggeblandingen igjen etter litt steketid, stek deretter på ny.
4. Topp med ønsket tilbehør! Jeg serverte med bacon og blåbærsyltetøy, som alltid er en sikker vinner til alt her i hus, haha!
