Depending on how long you've been lifting, there's certain ways you should go about it that can really benefit you in the long run.
-
If you have been lifting for 0-2 years, you classify as a beginner. In this phase, the best move is to go with a 3-day full body split, while hitting muscles 2-3x/week. This will be the easiest time to progress, as you can progress session by session.

If you have been lifting 2-4 years, you classify as an intermediate. At this stage, progression will still be somewhat easy, but it will be slower, which is why the best move is to go up to a 4-day upper/lower split to get in more volume, and try to progress week by week.

If you have been lifting 4+ years, you can consider yourself advanced. This is where progression will be much harder. So around here, moving up to a 5 or even 6 day split is optimal, to maximize strength and hypertrophy.

The main thing you should know, regardless of your training age, is that you can build muscle in any of these categories! Yes, muscle building will slow as you become more experienced, but be patient as time goes on and keep working, and results will keep coming!

💃🏻Happy Saturday you beautiful human from a “I’m tensing so stupidly hard my forehead veins could pop any second” me !! Hope you are feelin fab! ⁣

A very high intensity 20 min workout that’ll get you feelin like an energetic lil Mexican jumping bean🤪 Go for it my gal 💃🏻:⁣
⁣
Put on a 20 min timer and complete (try and go for 3 rounds!) ⁣
⁣
1️⃣ Kettlebell swing into overhead lunge x10 each leg: use a very light weight ⁣
2️⃣ Box jumps into push-up x10: do this at whatever level you want and are working towards! Can do: box jumps alone, box jumps into half burpee, box jumps into push-up, box jumps into spider push-up! Just challenge that beaut bod - you can flippin do it!!!! 🙌🏼💃🏻⁣
3️⃣ Squat and press x10: very slow and controlled⁣
4️⃣ Alternating hand plank x8 each side: keep that bum a little perked up ⁣ ⁣
5️⃣ Optional: 50 alternating battle rope into 30 simultaneous slams because when do I not add battle ropes they are just the most fabulous thing ⁣

THEN Attempted a push-up on the kettlebells and gravity said no. Added for your entertainment teehee⁣

CREATE YOUR OWN UPPER BODY WORKOUT 🏋🏻‍♂️

Sometimes we follow well set up programs, but some of the workouts we can’t really get into simply because we don’t enjoy them. To make good progress, you need to stick to a routine, so it’s best you do a program with workouts you get excited about. Well here’s a chance to make your own!

To make a good upper body workout, try to include 1-2 exercises for each body part listed above, pick a number of sets (between 2 and 4) and a number of reps (between 6-15 reps), If you’re making this upper body workout for a strength day, feel free to lower the reps for some of the exercises.

Pick the exercises you feel work best for you. Pick the workouts you love to do. A set routine that makes you pumped to get in the gym is the one that is gonna help you make progress. NOW GO TO THE GYM AND KILL IT!!!

I Alternate weekly between “Heavy” Leg Days - Where I focus mainly only lifting heavy weights (up to 100kg) AND more Aerobic Leg Days - Where I focus on low weights more reps. This is an example of what I do on a heavy leg day. .
1️⃣ Leg Press w/ Resistance Band- 20 Reps x4

2️⃣ Hip Adductors (Working the inner thigh)- 10 reps each x4 .
3️⃣ Squats - 10 reps x4 (started with 50kg up to 80kg)

4️⃣ Sumo Deadlifts - 10 reps x4
