This weekend @jamesveloria will double in size with the opening of a second room, hidden behind the wall of silver streamers. Affectionately called JV Retreat, the space will be dedicated to special designer capsules and dress-up themes. First up: a red-hot ode to @TomFord and his ’90s and early-’00s work at @YSL and @Gucci. Tap the link in our bio for details.

Dreary December days have a way of creeping right into your soul and, among other depressive maladies, can make the gray sweaters, black tights, and Chelsea boots you’ve been wearing since Halloween feel like a sartorial prison. One remedy? @markcarly's swirling electric blue tights created in collaboration with @maisonsoksi. Tap the link in our bio to learn more. Photo by @richieshazam

Since Frank Ocean started his Instagram account last year, it's remained private. The elusive musician's selfies and style inspiration remained a secret accessible only to a lucky few.... up until yesterday. He's now gone public with his account, with an introductory post for the masses in a shirtless mirror selfie (naturally captioned, "Welcome"). So if you're in need of an activity while traveling home for the holidays, scroll through Ocean's refreshingly off the cuff Instagram feed. Tap the link in our bio for more details. #regram @blonded

@VirgilAbloh has an interest in the unfinished. As he explains, “Humans are often obsessed with erasing their impact or trying to make something look flawless, like a beautifully laid wood floor or a perfectly cylindrical piece of pottery. I’ve always been one for things that have evidence of the human.” For his men's Pre-Fall collection at @off white, he's applied his passion for the incomplete to clothes themselves. Hems and seams are left raw. Half-done Renaissance paintings decorate a coat and trousers. And the Italian term incompiuto—lifted by the artist collective Alterazioni Video which has made a 10-year study of unfinished public works in Italy—is printed across the chest of logo tees and down the side of electric orange dry bags. To fully understand Sarah Burton's @AlexanderMcQueen Resort 2019 collection, you have to know about British Victorian heroine Mary Anning. The inspiration of the collection, Anning was brought up in the english countryside town of Dorset, and made a living with her family selling fossils to tourists and Victorian gentlemen collectors. Anning discovered and identified a type of fossil in the now named Jurassic Coast around Lyme’s beaches at the age of 12. The narratives Burton unearths in this collection connect with Anning's lifestyle through mother-of-pearl jewelry, shell patterns inspired by etchings on tailored suits, and extravagant ripples and ruffles like the insides of shells. To mark the @whitneymuseum's retrospective "Andy Warhol–from A to B and Back Again," the museum's shop has teamed up with LA brand @Advisoryboardcrystals on a series of products that draw on Warhol's wide breadth of work. The limited-edition long-sleeved tees inspired by Warhol’s Camouflage series will be available for purchase after customers have picked up one of 100 maps in the shop and followed the instructions to an undisclosed location in the Meatpacking District. There has been so much talk (and rightfully so) about safeguarding models, factory workers, and employees in the interconnected fields of fashion. But, what about the rights of young designers? How can they protect their graduate collections, sketchbooks, and Instagram posts from being copied? Most recently, a she-said, he-said involving the young Norwegian designer @EdzGimnes and the Spring 2019 Moschino show blew up, when friends of Gimnes who knew her exuberant hand-scribble-printed collections had spotted what they saw as similarities with the sketch-process inspiration of the Moschino show—and almost 27,000 commented. Jeremy Scott responded with photographs of Moschino and Moschino Cheap & Chic references going back to 1992 on his Instagram Stories feed. Vogue's @sarahmower took time to ask lawyers, academics, headhunters, and fashion industry consultants how the legal landscape really lies for any small individual. The short answer: It's incredibly difficult, with a lot of

When Daniel Lee was announced as the new creative director of @bottegaveneta in mid-June, very little was known about him. Beyond a handsome photo of him in a white T-shirt and jeans and his most recent positions listed (director of ready-to-wear design at Celine, with a string of posts at Maison Margiela, Balenciaga, and Donna Karan) in an official release, there was not that much information. Anomalously for a millennial, Lee doesn’t have an Instagram account and hasn’t been making the social rounds in Milan. By his own account, his closest friends aren’t in fashion. He’s focused on the work. But, it won't be long now until his vision for Bottega Veneta comes into focus, as he's presenting his (much-anticipated) Prefall 2019 collection for women and men in Milan on December 11. As a bonus, he's sharing 10 portraits from the house's Spring 2019 offering exclusively with us, as a sneak peek for next month. He didn’t design the collection—his start date precluded

Today, all 80 items of @IamCardiB's fast-fashion capsule collaboration with @FashionNova drop. The collaboration has been in the works for several months, and if you follow Cardi B on Instagram you'd know this was bound to happen–she has long worn Fashion Nova on her Instagram. The star has unabashedly integrated it into her luxury wardrobe many times before. The collection has several standouts, like a faux leather biker jacket with exaggerated puffed sleeves and a long burgundy faux fur coat for a queenly effect. And for Cardi B, the collection had to be accessible–“It’s very chic,” she says. “It’s really more of the things that I always wanted to wear but more affordable.” Tap the link in our bio to see every look from the capsule collection.
